NASULGC's CREATE-21 Website Now Available --- CREATE-21 is a project of the Board on Agriculture Assembly of the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges (NASULGC). CREATE-21 is composed of representatives from America's land-grant and related universities and is working to reach a consensus about how the partnership between the USDA and America's land-grant and related universities should be updated to "Create Research, Extension, and Teaching Excellence for the 21st Century" (CREATE-21). Small Farms Program Series of Risk Management Articles ---- The Small Farms Program of Cornell University began producing a series of articles devoted to topics in risk management and crop insurance. Over an 18-month period, a series of articles will be focusing on the variety of ways that small farmers mitigate risk. A major emphasis will be profiles of individual farms dealing with risk in a variety of ways. The articles will appear in the Small Farm Quarterly as well as other publications. Introducing New Website and CD for AGR-Lite --- The Farmers' Market Federation of New York has launched a new website dedicated to AGR-Lite. It provides a simple screening process by which producers can determine whether this innovative crop insurance policy is for them. It also provides a number of case studies, fact sheets, links, and contact information for those who wish to delve deeper into the subject. Simply use the AGR-Lite button at www.nyfarmersmarket.com.
