Translating Research into Policy and Practice for Healthier Communities - Apr. 25-27

The 2006 National Priester Health Conference will be April 25 27, 2006, at the Hyatt Regency in Louisville, Kentucky. The theme of the conference is "The Race Is On: Translating Research into Policy and Practice for Healthier Communities." The deadline for submitting proposals has been extended to January 16, 2006.

The Priester Conference is co-sponsored by USDA's Cooperative State Research Education and Extension Service (USDA-CSREES), the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges' Commission on Outreach and Technology Transfer (NASULGC-COTT), and the University of Kentucky.

The conference is designed for professionals involved in health research, education, extension, and policy from land-grant institutions, other institutions of higher education, medical colleges, public health, healthcare, federal organizations and agencies, private nonprofit organizations and associations, and schools systems. Proposals should emphasize innovative strategies for translating research into educational programs and policy formulation that results in positive health outcomes.
