Guidelines for Session Organizers

  • The intent of this conference is to share information about IPM in community and urban settings, therefore all topics and presentations should relate to IPM.
  • Sessions should also focus on issues of concern to the Northeast region. If the presenter is from outside the region, how does the content apply to the Northeast and can it be extended nationally?
  • Format of the sessions is up to the session organizer (traditional symposia, workshop, case studies, panel discussion, etc)
  • Time slots are 2,4, 6, or 8 hours. Work in a break for sessions of 4 or more hours.
  • Schedule time at the end of each session for discussion and prioritization of IPM needs, either specific or general, in the subject area (mandatory but flexible). The purpose is to engage the stakeholders and help to target funding resources.
  • Flip charts, post-its, projectors, computers, are available by request to address goals, needs, problems, etc.
